Hope‏

"My endurance has perished; so has my hope from the LORD."
(Lam 3:18)
__________

When sorrow and trouble drain us of strength, when we have nothing left the Lord understands. "Remember my affliction and my wanderings, the wormwood and the gall! My soul continually remembers it and is bowed down within me."
(Lam 3:19-20)

Crying out to God is not a lack of faith. "But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end"
(Lam 3:21-22)

Remember the Lord's mercy, compassion, and kindness. "The LORD is my portion," says my soul, "therefore I will hope in him."
(Lam 3:24)
Let's pray.

Heavenly Father, when we're discouraged and our soul is weary help us remember: Your loving kindness and mercy never end. Help us wait upon you- for your hand of mercy that never fails.
Amen.

Today's very great and precious promise
The LORD is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.
(Lam 3:25-26)

We have God's Word on it.
